Inshighting is a cutting-edge analytics platform that leverages AI to empower B2B companies with valuable insights from their data, driving business growth and strategic decision-making. As a freelance UX designer, I took on the challenge of optimizing the user experience to make these powerful analytics accessible and intuitive.
Problem

Many B2B companies struggle to effectively analyze their data and extract insights that can drive success, leading to missed opportunities and lost revenue. When Inshighting approached me, their platform was powerful but had usability issues that limited its potential:

Complex navigation and data displays made it difficult for users to find relevant insights.

No onboarding or support tools to guide new users through key features.

Users needed a way to easily upload and interpret data with minimal friction.
The Process
To tackle these challenges, I took a user-centric approach:

User Research & Feedback as we go
i conducted interviews with my colleagues - customer success teams, the CEO, and developers to gather diverse perspectives. this gave me data to analyze the user behaviors to identify key pain points and areas for improvement, ensuring the design aligned with real user needs and business goals.
Simplified Navigation
Restructured the platform’s navigation to guide users seamlessly from data upload to actionable insights.

Visual Hierarchy & Clarity
I started with redesigning the layout to create a clear visual hierarchy that prioritized important data, ensuring users could digest information quickly without cognitive overload. This approach was refined after conducting in-depth interviews with Inshighting’s design clients to ensure their primary needs were met.
Equally important was adding Integrated micro-interactions for instant feedback, helping users feel confident as they navigate and work with the platform.
The Solution
To enhance the Insighting SaaS platform, I designed an intuitive and friendly dashboard that brought the data to life. The interface featured engaging illustrations and a relaxed color palette, creating a visually appealing experience.
I implemented a clear hierarchy of information, positioning key metrics and calls to action prominently at the top, while more detailed macro data was accessible further down the screen. Additionally, I streamlined navigation, allowing users to quickly access specific client profiles that required urgent assistance, ensuring they could address problems efficiently and effectively.
